Psychological reports for extradition proceedings
Assessments of mental health, suicide risk and vulnerability for people facing extradition. Extradition is one of our most experienced areas.

From the bench
“I accept the evidence of Dr Suesse cannot be ignored, she was an impressive expert witness, she had clear concerns over the RP’s mental health and suicide risk.”
Suicide risk and mental health assessment in extradition cases
- Mental health and diagnosis
- Suicide and self-harm risk, and how extradition would affect it
- The likely psychological impact of extradition on the person and their family
- Trauma, including the effect of earlier experiences of trauma, abuse, persecution or victimisation in the requesting country
- Vulnerability, and the protective factors in the person’s life
- Cognitive functioning
- Recommendations for any treatment required
We have prepared reports in cases involving extradition requests from Singapore, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Slovakia and France, among others.
Giving oral evidence in extradition hearings
We write to the questions in the letter of instruction and set out our reasoning so the court can weigh it. We have given oral evidence many times and are used to being cross-examined on our reports.
Extradition psychological reports for solicitors in London, the South East, the East of England and the Midlands
We are based in Cambridgeshire and take instructions from solicitors and barristers across London, the South East, the East of England and up to the Midlands. We assess in prisons, secure hospitals and solicitors’ offices, and remotely where that is appropriate.
For legally aided cases, travel is charged as public transport costs at Legal Aid Agency rates. For privately funded instructions it is included in the quote. How instruction works.
